1. The service
Boosted+ POS provides business software that may include point of sale, inventory, purchasing, customer and supplier records, receipts and invoices, staff controls, accounting records, reports, payment links, reconciliation and industry-specific workflows. Features can vary by business mode, subscription, market, device, enabled module or third-party provider.
2. Accounts and authority
You must provide accurate account information, protect your credentials and use the service only if you are authorised to do so. A person creating or administering a business workspace represents that they have authority to act for that business. Workspace owners are responsible for assigning appropriate roles and removing access when it is no longer required.
3. Business records
The business is responsible for the accuracy of prices, products, tax settings, customer information, supplier information, stock adjustments, accounting classifications and other information it enters. Boosted+ POS assists with record keeping but does not replace professional accounting, tax, legal, medical or regulatory advice.
4. Payments and settlement
Boosted+ POS may record multiple payment methods, customer advances, customer credit, payment links, payouts and other settlement types. Where live payment processing is enabled, third-party provider terms, network availability, transaction limits, verification requirements and settlement rules may apply. Boosted Technologies is not a bank, card network or mobile-money network operator unless explicitly stated for a particular regulated service.
Businesses are responsible for confirming that payment details, payout destinations and customer settlement instructions are accurate. The platform may hold, block or restrict payment-related functionality to manage fraud, security, verification, technical or compliance risk.
5. Credit, staff liability and management adjustments
Features such as customer credit, staff liability, complimentary transactions and write-offs are optional business controls. The business is responsible for using them lawfully and fairly. Boosted+ POS does not determine whether an employee is legally responsible for a loss, and system records should not be treated as authority to make an unlawful wage deduction.
6. Fees and paid services
If paid plans, transaction fees or other charges apply, the price and billing basis will be disclosed before the charge is accepted. Taxes may apply. Purchases of digital subscriptions or features through a mobile app may also be subject to the billing rules of the relevant app store where those rules apply.
7. Acceptable use
You must comply with the Acceptable Use Policy. You may not use Boosted+ POS for unlawful commerce, fraud, unauthorised access, malicious activity, infringement, deceptive transactions or conduct that threatens users, the platform or payment networks.
8. Customer and staff privacy
Businesses are responsible for giving any required notices and obtaining any required authority before entering personal information about customers, staff or suppliers. Use of personal data is also governed by our Privacy Policy.
9. Availability and changes
We aim to provide a reliable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Maintenance, internet connectivity, third-party providers, telecom networks, device conditions, emergencies or events outside our control can affect service. We may improve, replace or discontinue features where reasonably necessary, including for security, compliance or technical reasons.
10. Third-party services
Some functionality may rely on third parties such as payment providers, email delivery services, hosting providers, app stores or communications services. Their own terms and privacy policies may apply to their services, and Boosted Technologies is not responsible for outages or conduct outside our reasonable control.
11. Intellectual property
Boosted+ POS software, branding, design and platform materials are owned by or licensed to Boosted Technologies. These Terms give users a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service for authorised business purposes. Users retain rights in the business data and content they lawfully provide.
12. Suspension and termination
We may restrict or suspend access where reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, non-payment, legal compliance, serious misuse or material breach. Where practical, the reason will be communicated. Users may stop using the service and may initiate account deletion through the methods described on our Account Deletion page.
13. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the service is provided on an “as available” basis. Business decisions remain the responsibility of the business. Reports and calculations depend on the information entered and configured by users.
14. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Boosted Technologies will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss arising from use of the service, including loss caused by inaccurate user-entered data, unauthorised credentials, unsupported third-party services or network outages. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
15. Governing law
Unless mandatory law requires otherwise, these Terms are governed by the laws of Uganda. Disputes should first be raised through our support channel so the parties can attempt a good-faith resolution.
16. Changes
We may update these Terms to reflect changes in law, security, functionality or business practices. Material changes may be communicated through the service or another reasonable channel.
17. Contact
Questions about these Terms can be submitted through Support.
